Technology advance and volumes of information that people come across make them learn during their whole life. They should be able to meet the requirements rapidly changing world. That puts lifelong learning on agenda as it is a prerequisite for sustainable future professional success. Thus, understandable prepared autonomous which one essential tasks set university education. Students acquire new knowledge develop skills by themselves when formal education over. assess achievements themselves, monitor progress, evaluate outcomes. why alternative assessment gaining momentum. The present article presents, an example, forms assessment, language portfolio. portfolio well known Ukrainian teachers, but not widely employed in / teaching process.
